Bellamy Family

Moira

It all started when I tried to recreate real people in The Sims 3 so that I could later create nice looking sims without using references. As a reference, I used a photo of a redditor who had become something of a meme. However, I was disappointed with the result because the sim didn't look like her at all. She also looked a bit older than she looks IRL, which gave me an idea to turn her into an actual adult, so thats what I did. I also tweaked her face a little to make less resemblance of that girl.

I was satisfied, but I wondered how would she look like if I turned her into a demon, and she looked even better. So I gave her a name, Leah August.

After a while, I decided to create the rest of her family for diversity, since most of my sims are single young adults. I created Bel (husband), Lily (sister-in-law), Moira (daughter), Asmodeus (son. Oh god, what a corny name I gave him back then) and Luca (brother). They also had pets: a black cat and a hellhound, but I got rid of them because there were already six sims in the house, and I had no idea where to put the pet furniture in the large, cluttered house. Besides, I suck (and still suck) at Create-A-Pet.

Since I deleted some CCs that I didn't like or that I thought I no longer used, some of Leah's clothes disappeared, but I managed to give her something better. I looked through a bunch of “mom fashion” photos for reference and accidentally overused beige and yellow colors. Instead of changing everything, I just decided to make yellow her favorite color (and she loves her beiges). And since I had the opportunity to redo her looks, I tweaked her face a little, but I don't think it's noticeable unless you compare them side by side. Then I swapped her and her daughter's names because Moira sounds more old-fashioned than Leah.

Vincent

Bel suffered less from the remakes, his face was slightly altered, some of his outfits were updated using CCs, and I changed his career clothes so that he looked less like an “evil spaceship admiral.” I also decided to change his surname from August to Bellamy. Bell Bellamy. It sounded too corny, so I changed his name to Vincent.

Leah

Moira looks completely different from her reworked version. She was supposed to be a nerdy teenager in a school, but her casual clothes looked more like college student ones and didn't suit her because they were pink. Pink on red skin... yes, I made some questionable choices. Anyway, I completely redesigned her and made her look a bit more like her dad. I also googled “teen fashion” and chose what I more or less liked (and what didn't look lewd). I also swapped her name with her mom's. In addition, I couldn't figure out what kind of career such a girl would want to have in the future, so I made her a “jack of all trades.” And I had to replace the trait “Good” because otherwise she would have conflicted with her dad.

Luca

Asmodeus looked completely different before and after I looked at him a few months after creating him. I was shocked because how in the fuck I've thought he looked normal in the first place? He was the one who needed the remake the most. Started from scratch again, this time he shares some facial features with his mom, and I completely changed his wardrobe. It's not perfect, but in my opinion, it looks better than before. I also gave him his uncle's name, Luca.

Lilith (Lily)

Lily didn't really need this remake that much, but she got it anyway. A lot of Lily's clothes were also gone, but that wasn't a biggie because I gave her something similar or even better clothes. While playing, I realized that her lingerie was too revealing to wear in a house with two teenagers and a sister-in-law, so I gave her different lingerie that was a little more modest. She also got career clothes that look very “fashionista,” and I think it suits her job as a stylist pretty well. Her face was changed to look a bit more like Vince's because she is his younger sister.

Bel

As for Luca, I simply redesigned him because I redesigned the rest. His face is now a little more closer to Moira's because he is her younger brother. I also changed his name to Bel because that name was no longer in use, and I gave the name Luke to the teenager. And since he's not actually part of Vince's family, I kept his original last name (which is August). His clothing choices changed from “a dumbass who thinks that the less clothing, the sexier” to “a softboy” because it suits his baby face better. I basically unintentionally decieved his true nature, because he's not actually a cute nerd, but a womanizer with a nice body (and "manizer” Yes, “that bitch is gay, good for him”). He's not so much evil as he is lustful, but I decided to keep that trait anyway.

House

I spent a lot of time on the house. It's a large two-story house with five bedrooms, several bathrooms, and a garage that can hold three cars. I just found some random blueprints on Google and built the house based on them.

It was time to export a lot, at least that's what I thought, because Sims's statistics were also exported, so I spent some time making them the way they should be (and playing that damn game). That's when I started making some changes: first, the outdoor area was empty, so I added a pool, but then I removed it because it didn't look very good, and added a bunch of vegetation instead. At that point, each sim had their own computer, but I decided to remove all of them except for the one in the parents' bedroom because I didn't want the sims to skip school and work because of that computer. Then I started testing the whole house, and there were minor issues that were easy to fix, except for one. Next to the laundry room was a tiny 1x3 bathroom with a puddle in the middle that none of the sims could mop up. So I merged the bathroom with the laundry room.

Other

Moira's website was inspired by the old Geocities sites, and the text on it used to be short, but over time it has been updated without any changes to the content.
