This is another shrine, this time dedicated to id Software's 1993 classic Doom and its sequel Doom II. Its a fast-paced first-person shooter and first of its kind (Wolfenstein 3D was still primitive), with fully textured 3D levels (not without limitations), kickass MIDI soundtrack and controls that doesn't completely suck ass (it was DOS era, so devs figured those on their own).
You play as a nameless marine (nowadays known as Doomguy), who got his ass kicked for refusing to kill civilians, so as a punishment, he was sent to a boring guard job at United Aerospace Corporation in Phobos. After a failed teleportation experiment, demonic aliens came out of those portals and started their invasion of Phobos, then Earth. As a sole survivor, your goal is to kill them all (and avenge your pet bunny).
The game is iconic and totally deserves its status it has today. Hell, thanks to John Carmack's blessing in a form of Doom's source code, its possible to play Doom on almost everything: your phone, iPod, even hardware that couldn't run Doom back in the day and many other wacky devices.
